6)Click the double-arrows next to 'SSL for SMTP', and |
7)Select 'Required (TLS)' from the drop-down list |
8)Click [OK] |
The next step is to get Eudora to use/install the Certificate |
Setting up Eudora to use the certificate
For Eudora to use the certificate you will need to send a simple test e-mail to yourself. This process is necessary and will cause the test mail to fail. This is normal and always occurs the first time you use Secure SMTP.
1) Send a test mail to yourself. Address the e-mail to yourself, put 'Test' in the subject, and click the [Send] button |
2)After sending, Eudora will display the certificate for your inspection |
3)Click [OK] to continue |
|
4)You will get an error message the first time (see above) |
5)Close the 'Task Progress' window |
6)Open your Outbox. You should see the test message with a 'Q' in the 'Status' area. Double-click the subject of the message to reopen it, then click the [Send] button again. The message should now send without error. |
Eudora is now setup to send e-mail through SSL |
